1. Service Provider
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by:

By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Service Description
Nuvelo provides AI-powered technical compliance assessment services related to the EU AI Act, including:
- AI Act readiness checks
- Technical compliance audits
- AI system documentation review
- Invoice automation services
Important disclaimer: Our services provide technical analysis and compliance assessment tools. They do not constitute legal advice and are not a substitute for qualified legal counsel. Compliance reports generated by Nuvelo are technical analysis tools intended to support -- not replace -- your legal and regulatory decision-making.
3. Free Services
The AI Act Readiness Check is offered free of charge with no obligation. By completing the readiness check, you consent to the processing of the information you provide in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4. Paid Services
4.1 Ordering
Paid services are ordered and paid for via Stripe payment links provided by Nuvelo. A binding agreement for paid services is formed upon successful payment.
4.2 Monthly Plans
Monthly subscription plans can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the service until the end of the paid period.
4.3 Annual Plans
Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year. No refunds are issued for early cancellation of annual plans. Upon cancellation, you retain full access to the service until the end of the prepaid annual period.
4.4 Compliance Gap Guarantee
For one-time compliance audit services: if our audit does not identify at least 3 actionable compliance gaps in your AI systems, you are entitled to a full refund. To claim a refund under this guarantee, you must notify us at hello@nuvelo.io within 14 days of receiving your audit report.
5. Intellectual Property
- Client reports: All compliance reports and deliverables generated for a client belong to the client.
- Methodology and tools: Nuvelo's assessment methodology, software, templates, frameworks, and scoring systems remain the intellectual property of Anchorant GmbH.
- Aggregated insights: We may use anonymized and aggregated data from assessments to improve our methodology and services. No individual client data will be identifiable.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The total liability of Anchorant GmbH for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or our services is limited to the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Anchorant GmbH is not liable for any regulatory penalties, fines, sanctions, or enforcement actions imposed on you by any authority, including under the EU AI Act or any other regulation.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
7. Disclaimer
Nuvelo's services are provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of our assessments, but we do not guarantee that our reports are exhaustive or error-free.
Our services do not constitute legal advice. You should consult with qualified legal professionals for legal guidance on regulatory compliance. Nuvelo is a technical assessment tool provider, not a law firm.
8. Data Handling
All personal and client data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept the data processing practices described therein.
9. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes via email to registered users. Continued use of our services after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with the changes, you may terminate your account before the changes take effect.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Austria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Vienna Commercial Court (Handelsgericht Wien), Vienna, Austria.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
